The Tatranské Zruby hotel and climatic spa offer their services to clients interested in weekly treatment stays; senior stays; wellness and spa stays covered by health insurance funds, "A" and "B" groups (21 days) with the indication groups "V" - non-tuberculosis-related respiratory diseases, and "XI" – occupational disease, including treatment of workers exposed to ionising radiation after 10 years of exposure, all stages of pneumoconiosis, consequences of lung damage due to caustic vapours, gases and irritating dusts.
Procedure to arrange coverage of a stay in our spa by a health insurance fund:
If you receive treatment for any of the above indications, contact your physician with a request for a spay stay in our facility.
Send the completed spa treatment proposal with indication of our spa to the competent branch of your health insurance fund. When the revision doctor approves your proposal, the health insurance fund will send the proposal to us.
On receipt of the proposal, our staff will contact you to arrange with you the choice and timing of your spa treatment stay and give you appropriate instructions regarding your stay.
SPA TREATMENT
NATURAL HEALING RESOURCES
The spa has mountainous, moderately stimulating climate with a toning effect which results from the higher altitude where the O2 tension is reduced and sunlight intensity is stronger. The air is rather chilly, but the location excludes stronger winds. It is characterised by notable differences in temperature between days and nights that have a significant stimulating effect on the organism and its thermo-regulating system. Air is clear, nearly free of allergens, and thus suitable for those suffering from allergies or respiratory diseases. It also has beneficial effects on people with impaired immunity against infections, hypochromic anaemia, neuroses, neurovegetative dystonia and non-fixed hypertensions.
INDICATIONS
The beneficial climatic conditions, beautiful mountainous nature and advanced methods of treatment provide efficient conditions for treatment of the above non-tuberculosis-related respiratory diseases - indication group V (bronchial asthma , chronic bronchititis), post-surgery conditions following surgeries of both the upper and lower respiratory tracts and lungs, hypertrophic and atrophic changes of the upper respiratory tract, allergic rhinitis, ozaena, the above mentioned occupational diseases – indication group XII/1, 5, 6, 8, 10, such as ionising radiation, etc.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Infectious diseases; acute stage diseases; cancer; epilepsy except where no attack has occurred during the last three years; more severe psychoses; mental disorders with strong habits; urinary/faecal incontinence, night enuresis; treatment-resistant skin ulcers; active TB; hypertension - diastolic pressure over 120Hg; cardiac decompensation.
Treatment
The basis of the treatment is climatotherapy, combined with inhalation therapy, balneotherapy, light therapy, electrotherapy, therapeutic physical exercises, lymph drainage and massages.
